How to set project origin in revit
WebFeb 9, 2024 · so we've got an AC 25 project with one of the boundary corners set to AC Project Zero & using the Native Survey Point (NSP) to locate said Project Zero / boundary corner to align with a real-world coordinate. I'd like to export a Revit file but I noticed that there was no option to export from the Native Survey Point. WebJul 16, 2024 · Have a look at the image below. There are 3 different Revit models: two building models and a site model. Each building has a specific local Project Base Point and Internal Origin, most likely located at the same location. The shared site origin position is set in the site model and represented by the Survey Point.

WebExpand the Site Category, then make sure the Project Base Point is set to visible. Next select the project base point in the Revit View, and click on the paperclip icon. A red dash should appear going through the clip icon. Once unclipped, right-click on the project base point and move this element closer to your Revit model. WebSep 22, 2024 · The INTERNAL origin is where it is, and it doesnt move. Thats why Shared Coordinates exist. The only way to "change a models coordinates relative to INTERNAL origin" is to pick the entire model up and move it, which is brutal. Alternatively, i guess you can try linking it in to a blank file, repositioning it, and binding the link. But... yikes. WebNov 27, 2024 · To do this, unclip Project Base Point and move it there. Link a DWG file with three 3D lines that intersect at 0,0,0. This will help you snap the Survey Point to the origin. If the points are matched, your toposurface should be moved accordingly.
